Final Score: TGT 9, NCC 2

Player of the Game: Adam F., for a masterful pitching performance and six-inning shutout.  The defense couldn’t quite hold it through seven (and credit NCC with some nice hitting in the final frame) but it was brilliant, regardless. I don’t think anyone would argue with comparisons to Cy Young or Sandy Koufax, although personally I thought it was more like Pedro in his prime, especially how he owned the inside of the plate.

Honorable mentions to Adam P. who scored two runs and nailed the relay to third base for a stop-the-bleeding tag play in the 7^th, Qadim for a huge two-out, two-RBI line drive in the first inning (ultimately, the winning runs) and Danielle who scored a run and reached base safely in each of her first two at bats. Those weren’t the only performances of note, either – it was a true team win. Everybody pat themselves on the back.
